Borla Exhaust

Anyone know where i can buy a Borla exhaust system in the Seattle area? I mean, really, a place this large with this much money rolling around, you should not have to order it!

Craigslist - Seattle/Tacoma? lol

I don't think we even have an autoparts store that carries good variety of aftermarket performance parts for Japanese compact sport cars. Well unless you have a civic.....civic parts can be bought anywhere...lol

Even if we do, they still have to order for your RX8. Not a lot of stores keep aftermarket performance parts for RX8s in stock.

Not just performance parts.......... a week ago, I went to Pepboys in everett to buy Hawk brake pads for my 8 cuz the other auto parts stores don't carry Hawk brand..... , I was told that they don't keep them in stock. So they had to order them for me and I had to wait a week or so to get them. I was like.....man...why did I even waste gas to go there....you know?...I coulda just ordered online at home...lol

hey...Junior....what's the name of your shop? Is your focus on Japanese cars...or everything? I'm just curious....it'd be nice to have a friend at an auto shop...I might order some stuff in near future..

Yo, Junior! If I bought the thing at your shop, could I get it installed there? Let me check around before I get too carried away. I noticed that if I plug in a 2008 RX8 GT into Borla's web site, they say they don't make one for my car. is this the case? A 2006 system should fit a 2008, shouldn't it? Hey, I haven't been in Spokane for a few years. This could be fun!

When I work, it's a string of three or four 12 hour days or nights, so give me a chance to see what my options are. Shipping/gas to Spokane. Pulling up, paying you, putting it on and driving back through Moses Lake Or putting it in the Hummer, driving around to find someone locally who will install it. Also, have to figure out how to pay for this, too.

I did a quick search, and here's what I found on the web:

JCS SPEED 775.00 Free shipping
RX7 Store 670.00 Plus shipping
Performance Center 730 plus shipping
Crutchfield 799..00 Free Shippeing
Auto Parts Warehouse 775.00 plus shipping

I bought a Borla Stinger for my late beloved C5 in AZ in 2001 for $440.00, and that's what my finance Minister/wife is expecting this to cost. Damn, that Stinger was a true dual exhaust! $440.00..I got a helluva deal!

I think this is going to have to be one of those deals where it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

Lemme think on this some more. It has stopped raining, and I wanna run the RX8.

After much soul searching & internet shopping I decided to go with a local shop for the Borla. He still has to order it from Portland? Why Portland?

Anyway, I've done business with him for a couple of years. People take their custom rods and Ferraris there for work. The local owner matched Junior's price and has the obvious advantage of being practically next door if, however unlikely, something goes wrong.

I sincerely appreciate Junior's patience in dealing with me and his more than fair offer, but with the price of gas being what it is, I'm afraid a drive to Spokane was out of the question.

Thank you.

Bill P.
