Man... I've been rethinking the order again... Exhaust or seats first? And which seats?

Seats are a trickier problem than I thought as STX requires your seat be over 25lbs. That pushes most of the fiberglass seats out of the question... I'm thinking about the Bride ERGO II's, but they're pretty damned expensive... thoughts?

have you decided whether to leave them in all the time or just swap for events?

25 lbs!! That's ridiculous. Most racing seats weigh much less than that.

I'd go for exhaust. You'll enjoy it more. You can wait until next season to get some seats. They're expensive so start saving now!

i think the idea is he wants them for autox and if autox won't let you have them, there's no point, eh?

They weigh heavy I should have weighed front seats when swapping the interior because they weigh a fair amount. Especially the driver's seat.

Per this thread power/leather weighs 55lbs and cloth weighs 37.5lbs which seems about right.

Or you could get a CG Lock and save the money for some lightweight 17" rims.

Once I found out about the 25lbs rule, I started thinking in terms of getting recliners and leaving them in all the time.

I know right?! You have to TRY to get a bucket seat over 20lbs, let alone 25. Check out Sparco's list: http://www.sparcousa.com/resourceFiles/26.pdf They make 2 seats close to 25lbs and they both kinda suck

I know... but I'm so torn! If I do a catback I'll probably do a highflow cat at the same time, and if I'm doing that I'll probably want to get it retuned at the same time... and I still haven't decided which one I want! I thought I was set on the R1-T but now Charles has me thinking about the Borla... and then Speedsource said they could fab up anything I wanted (they thought they could make the R1-T for a lot cheaper, for instance)...

They slide, but Reclining seats tend to weigh more. It's tough to find one under 30lbs actually. I sent Bride an email asking how much these weigh:

I really should just break down and buy a CG Lock anyway... anyone got a promo code I can use for a discount?

Who needs to recline! Not like your getting a BJ in your car any time soon. Sliding, you can make any seat slide. Buy some sliders tada! If they dont, buy some sparco sliders and we can make brackets to slide.

Plasma cutter and a tig welder can do magical things.
