29 mpg?!? (and other very cool stuff!)

So I heard about this diagnostic tool the OBDCOM from a guy at work, and it is a sensor that plugs into your OBDII port and then a USB port on your laptop. This is beginning to sound like a plug or ad for them so i will stop with that, but the point is, i was able to discover some interesting things about my RX-8...

Attached is a log file I created yesterday on my way to church (about a 20 minute trip). The program tracks quite a few different things, including MPG, speed, RPM, Throttle position, etc. The most interesting thing was my 28.7 average MPG on that trip, which make sense I guess because usually I average around 17, but im usually in stop and go traffic to and from work...

The other thing is the fuel trim and throttle position, it is pretty interesting to see how the two are related (especially if you graph them side-by-side...

Anyways, the point of putting this up here, is to see if others out there have the same or similar tools, and have put their 8's to the test?

Its OBD Com...here is the website:

Pretty cool tool, plus you can clear any check engine lights or whatever, so itll save you a trip to the mechanic if you dont already have an OBD reader
