lol i did do a test with the AP and the Stock map it was giving me about 6 hp on top 11 hp in the mids.

 

You need to hook up with me when I go to the dyno... Might be in one to two weeks. I fly out to Chicago the 21st, so it will be before then. My time is limited to get ready for the NW Rotor Rally.

 

When you see the comparison of mine and Sky's you'll get a better picture of what the AP does. Sky should have prints showing one pull w/ the AP, the other w/o, then his car w/o vs. my car (on 89 octane). IIRC, the AP run vs. mine we looked at showed his car making less power in some areas, and more power in others. There were good gains, and there were drops.

I think folk need to remember to not look at a peak number at ONE point in the RPM line, but they should take the graph as a whole.

All in all Sky that's great news. I'd love to see the overlay on DMPs. Since you two I think are closest in setup.

As for the cost of the Accessport, is there more to be gained with a pro tune?

Don't feel so bad. I just bought the Accessport for my Subie last week. I think I netted 5hp gain. I should get near that 300whp mark for a protune. I'm not sure if I should pay it now, or do it later when I swap turbos.

Sky - Email them to me, if you want. If you don't have a scanner, take a photo of the graphs w/ a decent digital camera.

Check the cost of an intake or exhaust.

It does more......... Fixes the lean condition on top end, turns on cooling fans sooner, gives power throughout the whole range etc..

 

Not based on the dyno plots I saw, from what I remember. It smooths the power delivery as measured, I'd say - but when Sky posts his w/ and w/o AP runs, you'll see not all rpm ranges saw increases in measured power. Some saw drops.

He emailed it to me, but it was about 350? pixels across; the numbers were unreadable. I've asked him for a larger resolution.
