Am I the only one who would pay a few hundred bucks for a detailed PDF with color photos and part numbers to walk someone through this swap?

The part numbers are:

1. Buy Hinson stuff.
2. Fix Hinson stuff and wonder why you bought it.

Wrong. I among a few other 8 owners are interested in blueprints and/or turn key builds. Yes we have money, and are interested in what options we have for our RX8's.

This is the most exciting thread on this site yet. Please keep us posted.

, They are not offering anything unless you want to pay them to do the swap, they are just sharing their build.

Are the gauges being worked through the Mazda sensors or are they being driven via the GM CANBUS and a converter box?

The factory RX-8 ECU is still in place so I would assume it is still running the gauges, ABS, traction Control, Etc.

I think the question was whether they would consider selling their IP (i.e., their know-how on doing the swap). It's not exactly a crazy suggestion.

I know I'd be interested in it.

Then you should actually contact Touge Factory. It's a real place shop. They haven't really said much of anything here besides they did this.

Yeah, maybe everyone here who posted a question should contact them directly instead. That way this thread can be nothing but "sweet!" and "awesomez!!!" And TF can privately answer a bunch of individual questions over and over. Besides, the question was posed to people here regarding interest, not to TF.

This car is for sale on Cars.com. $69,500

For sale by a dealer no less. I guess the customer wasn't happy with it?

$69k? Not a chance. I hope they did not build the with the hopes of selling it at such a high cost.

TF Works said in a prior post that it was build for a customer with specific requirements, and then was delivered to that customer.

I was assuming that it was an individual, however the free carfax report shows that it's still on the same owner. Maybe the customer was the dealership? Nissan is in that group it looks like, so maybe it was intended to be an alternative to people shopping GTRs?

Speculation.

I found it while surfing for possible R3s

69k? I'd buy the JIC RX-8 if I had that kind of cash. And there is no way to get financing on this right?

Hmmm, not a bad rate. I guess thru them they can finance whatever they want. I know USAA would never give a 69k loan on a used RX-8,

2010 R3 LSX swapped for $70k

I think the price is a bit steep.
