Swap Threads closed

I have had to delete over 30 posts from today alone from multiple threads in this forum. So I closed the recent threads for now as a reminder. I will reopen them in the morning.

Feel free to respond to this thread.

Get rid of the dumb Frankenstein section title.

Do two sections, rotary swaps and piston swaps. Leave the main section open for threads that don't fall into those categories.

Delete the Frankenstein argument thread it's pointless and retarded.

Ban anyone that tries to start **** in anyone else's thread for a week.

Problem will be solved in like two weeks tops.

Only admins can do that. There are none regularly active.

Then start trying to get a hold of them. Seems pretty retarded that there are no active admins and the moderator staff needs to work on fixing that.

Damn Arca is a go getter. You should run for some type of RX8club office (not sarcastic.)

I was just wondering why Stubbs thread was locked and now I know Aside from his thread I don't care about any other piston swap threads because they are all ridiculous. The rotary swaps are mostly all proper and I also think the name of the sub-forum is kind of dumb.

But it doesn't really matter what we think.

you just like his bc he's throwing the most money at it. Here in the real world people know they are just cars and not interested in throwing ridiculous amounts of money at it for the same end result. Plus it's a mazda.

I'm with Arca on dividing the subforum. I think it would be beneficial. As for banning people, I couldn't care less.

9k for instigating and LS for responding with his normal bullshit. It's the same thing every time, draws in people to make the same dumb comments over and over so you can have the same argument where both sides are unyielding. There's already pages of that crap in the argument thread and it pretty much gets nowhere. Start handing out week suspensions and I bet you that **** stops real fast.

Right because you never get in on the back and forth? Typical.

You don't have to visit any thread you don't want to visit and you can add anyone one you want to your block list if you don't want to see their posts. Problem solved.

Instead you choose to whine.

To inform everyone that the constant negative comments lead to Moderators closing threads.

Nothing more.

Okay chief. And in case you forgot, the thread with the comments was intentional and started by a mod.

This thread was created to inform and allow comments. Not start another pointless argument.

The Frankenthread was created to stop un-needed and unwanted posts from members build threads, NOT to allow personal attacks on members.

My thoughts exactly on every point. Closing accounts and limiting membership access will get it done. Weaksauce reminders obviously don't cut it as proven in the latest series of exchanges here plus the ones deleted from last night.

It has worked in the past and is a viable option for sure.

Be warned...we ate watching the tone around here this morning and if this continues there will be some cooling off going on. There are a few in particular that need to keep there noses very clean

Despite 9k being a little too forward, he has given valuable information in regards to my thread. My vote is to not ban him.

Pointless bickering is better than the little dips in forum activity. At least common misconceptions sometimes get dispelled during bickering.

As I said, that is what block lists are for. If people get annoyed by my posts or other members posts then they can choose to not see those posts ever again with a simple click of the mouse.

And while many of the comments in that thread were negative, and there was a lot of back and forth (harmless ribbing IMO), well that is what that thread was for and personally I don't see why people would frequent a thread that bothered them so much. I do understand if posts where people lost their cool and went too far got deleted, that makes sense. But those were not my posts.

If LSXREX's posts really bothered me, he would be on my block list but they don't, I find a lot of humor in his posts.

Agreed. I mostly closed the threads just to get some peace. The staff is getting exceedingly tired of constantly having to clean up the baiting and bickering in swap threads.

We are discussing other solutions.
