S2000 engine swap
#27
I'm not that sure about the "runs like hell forever" part. I track with a group of s2000 guys and one way or another they all had to rebuild the engine after 75\90.000kms.
However it has been the NA engine with most hp\l for a long while, bolts right up and surely gives less headaches than a renny.
Way better than an sr20det or the likes (they too bolt to an az6 box).

Why buy a Rotary and complain about them? You knew what you were getting into.
On a side note I think this would be a fun build. I personally like the S2k motor and wouldn't mind having one. I wonder how much a build like this would cost.

this swap would be great since im sure I can get the swap legalized since California is so strict. I think as long as the engine is a newer engine than the car would work.

It's probably the best reciprocating engine that will approximate the Renesis in character and also the performance that should have been. It would be an interesting choice especially if it can bolt up to existing drivetrain without requiring firewall or subframe mods. It looks close based on basic dimensions.

Great Engine and excellent for a swap. My father buddy swapped an F20C, tranny, cluster, etc. etc. into this and it is reliable and Arial Atom like fast.
