I'm also interested in doing a ls2 swap. I found a ls2 engine for 4800k from a c6. What transmission should I use? How much did the customer end up spending including engine..transmission..etc? Is there a list of all the things you guys needed for this swap along with their prices? How long will it take? Thanks

^ Finally another poke. I would love to take anyone for a test drive. I should have it back in a month or two once everything is installed. It might also depend if I stretch some and decide to get HVAC installed as my daily ac compressor went out and the car is a POS. May even head back up to OK for a football game or two, we'll see.

Car runs great. Like I said we brought the car back in for a few 'upgrades' but the car is special. Aint nothing funnier than seeing another 8 and their mouth drops when I step on it. The car was actually built in Fort Worth by Baily's Hyperformance Factory. I received a message from someone about why it was fun to work with Hinson. It wasn't: they sent parts that did not fit and took forever to fabricate the parts after posting on their website that their rx8 was complete. They are full of crap.

I have a shipping service to pick up and deliver cars. If you want us to do yours let me know. Hinson took four months for just the crank pulley. But they are a little faster and not such a big *** to shops. No need for upgraded axles or diff.

Is there a way you could give a ball park figure? Not providing the engine, etc.

O I think its ridiculous. I was just empathizeing with you because did the aame thing to me. They said thepulley had some problems and they need to redsign it. There the only vendor right now if you want your oem steering to work.

Beent do you want a quote on shipping the car?

Not looking at doing this anytime soon, would need to source a car. Not worried about shipping, I don't live too far away. Just trying to get an idea of price to see if this is the route I want to go.

Why are you suggesting they are the only people who can make your eps work? all they provide is mounting hardware no? As for the trigger wheel you can just weld on one to the front pulley, provided you orientate everything correctly including the ess.

That is not the work that comes out of my shop. Your paying a shop to do a good job and provide you the best parts. Not to do what would be expected out of someone's back yard work.

Can you post a picture of the kit before being installed?
