hinson motors. i believe they were at 7 stock with two corvette motors inside two RX8's.

This might be slightly off-topic... I just looked at that Civette project from start to finish (mostly browsing photos/videos)... wow, just wow.

bumping this thread....






been searching for this. I know I've seen the silver 8 with the motor from the gto swapped in, but I thought there was a dude with a winning blue doing some sort of v8 swap.....anyone know what i'm talking about.....maybe im crazy.

no v8 conversions done yet that have been seen here.

the blue one you might be thinking of. could be the 20b conversion..

thanks swoope....ya i know of the 20b wb. thought i remember seeing something of a guy doing some crazy subframe work to get it to hold the v8...hmmm i may have been smoking crack again.

Yes Paul,

It would be a Major Major hack job, and what about the overall balance of the chassis and handling, IMO the extra weight would make it a PIG to drive, might be much faster in a straight line....BUT????????

Why spend that money, if you want a V8 just go and buy the car it was designed for?

My girlfriend's old Acura Vigor had an I-5 mounted longways, and it was still FWD.
Not sure how that worked...

Audi A4 and B5 VW Passat are FWD with a longitudinal engine.

They just move the engine waaaaaay forward. Audi has been fighting with this for years.
