There has been lots of progress but the car is not done yet.
quick and dirty list:
mounted 07 MX5 steering rack approximately 1" lower and .5" aft from stock
installed 07 corvette oil pan
dropped in in motor and trans
converted shifter from F-body to GTO
installed aftermarket throttle-cable and RX7 pedal
installed Wilwood Brake prop valve and deleted ABS Block
installed Wilwood Clutch master cyl, clutch line, new slave cyl and release bearing
installed radiator but not fans or hoses yet
installed manifolds
installed walbro 255
bought a custom 3" aluminum driveshaft and installed it.
currently making swaybar mount for oem sway bar, connecting fuel line, and planning exhaust.
got my private pilot cert
and a mohawk

I am getting good grades in school and on Friday I will interview for my university's NASA microgravity research team.
It is quite possible that updates will not be until December.

Update:
I just started the car, doing exhaust tomorrow, It is almost ready for the road.
all pedals are hooked up and working, 07 MX-5 steering rack installed, radiator installed, radio and interior accessories work.
I sold the stock gauge cluster so I don't know or care if they work.
My buddy took a video of the first start-up and I am sure it will be uploaded soon.

ABS DSC and the like are gone with the Renesis. Gauges will be aftermarket.
The plan was to build a drift/hillclimb car straight from the start but now, because of school and the shift in priorities that it brings, the car will do a couple years of street duty with full interior and AC before it becomes a competition car. I will do small grassroots events like autox, track days, and local hillclimbs, but the full racecar build waits until I am done with my undergrad degree in Physics. (BTW, I switched from ME to Physics last year and got a job in a lab!)
