Oh damn it is. Well back to the drawing board. I'm actually happy to hear that. Im just gonna plumb the factory feed to the siphon and run a bulkhead fitting for the main feed to bypass the filter.
I run a 320 and just drilled out my siphon and lower surge tank return orifices ...Works great. |
if you drilled out the siphon then how is the fuel from the RH saddlebag getting transferred over to the LH side where the pump is?

When I say "drilled it out " ..... I did actually put some thought into how big the drill should be . |
I tossed that fucker in the trash. I just used a bulkhead fitting for the feed. Ran the pump to that and welded one of the filter outlets onto the Venturi. Used the stock feed as the return and ran that to the venturi. 30r10 line is expensive but otherwise good to go.

this crap running yet?
i recall rightty tighty lefty loosey.. just wondering.. beers  |
Keep it in the Frankenstein thread. This thread is for men who drive manly cars.

Finished the harness today. Just gotta secure it and smooth out the rough edges tomorrow. Then it's exhaust time. Anyone here want a Tanabe Medallion catback before I take a cutoff wheel to it? I may use it but it may not be enough exhaust for my manly motor.
Anyone see anything wrong with this sender? http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...psa9edcaac.jpg http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps4471dbb0.jpg |
If i'm understanding that setup .... the return line runs through the stock siphon . That wont get around the issue that the siphon is too small to flow that much fuel .....................
|
Well i was pointing out that i put the sender at full extension with the line that doesnt bend. Had to cut it way shorter. Bummer on the siphon issue. I guess i gotta see how it works out. Seems like it will work out fine.
|
i dont know much about rx8 fuel pumps, but i can change one at the track in less than 10 min..
that setup is a whole bunch of fcked. on many levels.. good luck.. think i see the brettus melt mood. :) beers  |
Do you ever plan on running a fuel surge tank setup later?
|

|
im a fan of the IM choice
|
Yeah thanks. I'll never port another intake though. What a pain in the ass. Had to get rid of the LS2 intake though. Apparently it's the worst flowing intake in the LS family.

He was banned. But there is a 99.9% chance it is not running yet.

Got the exhaust all tacked up today. Not too excited about going with the Tanabe but it's stainless and it was free (traded my busted rotary for it). Hopefully it sounds good. It's 1 7/8" stainless works longtubes, necked down to 2.5" through cats and merged into a single 2.5" into the Tanabe catback

Why was he banned? He was a pain when it came to rotary specific things, but other than that he seemed fine to me...

That sucks, now we're never going to know if it doesn't work right
|
It's a home brew driveway LS swap, it will never work right.
