1jz swap questions?

Hey this winter I plan on swapping in a 1jz. I would like to hear from ppl that have done this please. When I start I will defiantly make a build thread. From my understanding you can use the 8s trans as long as you have a 3puk. Also I saw that ppl had to use a different steering rack but I noticed that on the RHDs, does that apply for LHD too? Also I'd most likely be going with a Stack cluster so I won't have to mess with the stock cluster issues and running two ECUs. Other than that I see no problems and seems pretty straight forward. As far as the wireing goes I have a buddy that works for autometer that will be doing the wire work. Then I will be fabing up my own motor mounts unless someone makes them but i doubt it( havent found anybody that does yet). I know a lot of you guys hate swaps but this is what I want so flame me if you will. As far as everybody that helps me out, I REALLY appreciate it! Thanks guys

The only people that have done this live in Pakistan. There is a forum for swaps, read those swap. You should spend time understanding the RX-8 before you commit. 99.9% of these swaps end up as clusterf#$ks.

Oh, come on. There are some beautiful spots in New Jersey. I haven't seen them, but I know they're there.

Thanks 9k. I need to look into it more like you said. And yeah I've only found the people in Pakistan that have done it. Seems like its a routine swap over there. I think I might have found one guy in the states that did it and used a rx7 steering rack but it doesn't really give the details. I was hoping their be more info on this.
