The 10 post requirement uses the number of posts that is shown under your member name to the left of your post.
This post count is only increased by posts in most areas of the forum.
Posts do not count toward this number when those posts are in:
- Classifieds
- West regional subforum
- Lounge
This was put into place years ago when some members would be driving up their post count deliberately through largely non-car related posts, such as shenanigans in the lounge. Credit was disabled in the West subforum due to the proliferation of lounge-like posts there as well.
This is all before my time, so I am just explaining it as I understand it to have happened and why it exists as such today.
Largely, most of us actually have more posts than the number indicates. For example I show 9,064 posts, however I actually have somewhere closer to 20,000 posts.
9krpmrx8 is 24,530, but I think he is actually closer to 40-45k. I used to be able to see what the actual post count was for someone, but the search results appear to be limited to just under 1,000 most recent.
You have 15 posts total, only 4 of which "count". The rest are in classifieds, with 1 in the lounge.
Once your qualified count surpasses 10, the restriction will be released within an hour by forum code.
I recommend against just spamming up posts. If you want to reach the count in short order, just go surfing in the multimedia subforum and look through some video and pic threads and respond with your opinion. Completely valid way of bumping your post count. That is how monchie likes to bump his count as much as possible. We prefer responses that are more applicable and/or thoughtful though.

The 7 club has a really good system that allows you to bump your post count by posting in a number of 'read this' informative threads . you can do it pretty quickly . Would be a good system to adopt IMO
BTW - I had a quick look around and saw no reference to the 10 post count thing . Should be obvious to anyone joining the club .

I've got almost 30 posts showing. I've done most of my posting in the new member's area, along with the NE regional, videos, and the multimedia area, yet the forum code hasn't upgraded me as yet.
Not complaining, just curious when the upgrade kicks in.
