white smoke, exhaust, overfilled oil, will it ever stop??

I overfilled my oil. One of those things I can look back on and know the exact moment I should have stopped.. I even thought about it.. but kept going.
I am the only owner of my 2005 RX8. I love it! It still looks great. and usually.. runs great. HELP. Please!!

I use to live in a town 2 exits from a dealership. Now a live in a town where the words Mazda and Rotary Engine give mechanics a pickle face and a lot of dancing around to say-- they don't want to work on it or even answer my questions.
so...

white smoke, from exhaust, after overfilled oil, will it ever stop?? Do I HAVE to drain the oil??
I have let it sit for a WEEK. Yes. Thankfully my kind mother let me drive her vehicle...-- when I tried starting it last week and it would not start. All I got was so much white smoke, I could not walk in my garage. It was scary (and interesting) and scary... since it is my car!! Anyway. So it sat for a week. I was going to drain the oil and start over. but I am not Flat Sam. I can not get under that car to drain the oil and scared to move it. It DOES start now. but still... TONS of white smoke. TONS!! My neighbors probably wonder what I am doing.

I have searched all the previous threads. and great info they give. but no one tells a girl what to do. and if the white smoke (if it is from overfilling oil-- and I am pretty sure it is)... will it stop??

Thanx in advance.
Love this site. First post.

Usually white smoke is coolant...but if you grossly overfilled the oil it should be the issue

How high up the dipstick is it?

No, it won't stop for a long time and during that time you could seriously damage some parts.

Drain some of the oil until it gets to a normal level.
Chances are you'll need to clean everything in the intake system. The IAT/MAF and the Throttle body.
Your plugs could be fouled and the Catalytic Converter could also be suffering, those need to be checked.

It was over filled w/ oil. One second I looked saying that is enough to myself. Then I went stupid and decided to put in a little more. ... and out it came!!
Why?? Idk. I have never done that.

I will try to back it out and drain some oil tomorrow. Tried getting under it sitting in garage and that just seems impossible. Going to try backing out to a slanted area.

Guess I will also research cleaning everything. Closest dealership now is hour away. Kinda scared to drive it that far right now.

Thanx!!

Don't drive it, borrow a jack from literally any neighbor (or, you know... Use the one in your trunk...) Stick some bricks underneath the car to stop it from crushing you, and drain out some oil.

Only an idiot drives a catted car for an hour with any amount of smoke coming out of it, most of them are on this forum. Don't be that idiot.

Don't drive it with it overfilled like that.
