What can it be?!

I have a Mazda rx8 2008 with 44,000 miles. I've owned this car for one year, previous owner had no accidents, clean record. The car starts kind of harsh, and after I've let it warm up for 8 mins(Cali weather not hot or too cold) it makes a low ticking noise and it sounds like it stalls, makes funny rumbles. When I drive it, sounds wonderful, when I have ac on, it rumbles a bit harder. This is all that I've done:
.Mazda dealership replaced cat converter
.replaced spark plugs
.had fuel injection service
.replaced battery terminals
.replaced all wires
.replaced all coils, twice
.replaced battery
.cleaned MAF

Has proper fluids, top off with 76 premium every week. Please help. This car is a monster, I would like it to roar like one

When the check engine light comes on a day after doing these fixes, it always reads a misfire, cylinder 1. I work with mechanics, but they don't know how to fix rotary, they asked me to turn on the air when the car was on, and it stalled, once again, it rumbles, they said the engine doesn't sound healthy?

You're under warranty. Go to Mazda stop wasting your own money to fix it. Maybe you will get a brand new engine. But i think its electrical

When I called to make an appointment the lady is already trying to sell me oil services. I have a feeling its the engine, and I do meet the warranty standard. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me its for sure something with my engine, this way I don't get the last drop of blood sucked out of me by Mazda. Its not the electrical, the mechanics checked that, everything is fine in that department..

How do you not meet the warranty standards?
Mazda warranty for rotary power train is 8 years 100k miles or something. It's an 08. You have 2 more years.

cylinder 1 misfire.... i would take it to mazda and have them do a compression check
Cause if all the coils, wires and plugs replaced that would be your best bet.
Issue came up on mine as well except turned out i had 0 compression in my cylinder #2

I said I do meet the warranty standard.... But!
I need to make sure the problem has to do with the engine or its core parts, because if they check it, and its something way different, I will have to pay out of pocket, and after fixing everything that didn't need to be fixed, I'm broke lol how does one check the compression?.... Sorry... I detail the cars in the shop, I don't fix them....bear with me...

coils can be bad even when they are brand new. is it possible you got a wire crossed? are the plugs in the right spots?

from the front of the car the coils go to these plugs

l1, t1, l2, t2

ditto dont know how i could miss that. I had 2 coils brand new be bad on one right after another. I was fortunate enough to get the 3rd one and was given half my money back ^_^

And to have your compression checked unfortunantly you will have to go to the dealership and the will have to check the compression for you. Unless you know someone who can do it for you (odds are you dont)

I'm no mechanic, but it sure sounds like the engine might be bad. Even 'though its under warranty, you will have to pay for a compression test. Just ask them to do that first. If its bad, they will replace the engine. Regardless, I think you should know the condition of the engine.

My big question is. I didn't purchase it from the dealership, I bought it from the bank. Does Mazda still have to honor the warranty? The mechanics at my work did the compression test, we found the problem.

The warranty is still good. It goes with the car. No action is needed to transfer it from one owner to another.

Ticking caused by carbon in SSV (there is a TSB), Vibration caused by motor mounts (common issue)

Your work: Do they have a rotary compression tester? If they dont which is 99.9% of shops then I would have a proper diag done.

2004-2011 Rotary engine - you are covered as long as you keep service history, and you MUST pay for diagnosis of a faulty engine (compression test at mazda, MAP test etc.)

Powertrain: If your car is 2008 it is OUT of powertrain warranty... because it is 5 years / 100,000kms

I am not out of warranty.
Yes. My work did a compression test. That is the problem. My question is, does the warranty cover this issue
