Weekend RX8 drivers advice needed
I do not plan to use my new RX8 as a day to day car as work is only couple of miles away. I do not imagine getting out every weekend.
So if the RX sits in the garage for couple of weeks - month any advice or will it be happy with out been stared for a month.
I did buy with long term keeper in mind.

Tony, I've owned Rotaries for around 30 years now, and most of the time my car ( RX8 ) and my beach buggy ( Rotary ) sit in the shed for weeks if not months at a time and I've have never had any problems with the engine sitting for long periods. I don't do anything specific to them either.
If you are going to sit your car for long periods of time, I would be more concerned with your battery, as batteries don't like sitting and not being used. Keep the battery charged with a trickle charger, which you can leave plugged in all the time.
I will suggest you use a good quality synthetic oil.
Have fun

few things:
* mind the batteries - as mentioned by Rotaman. might want to use a trickle charger/maintainer to maintain charge.
* oil change annually, if you don't hit the service interval mileage first - water accumulates in the lubrication system without heat from running the car
* if parked outside, your brake rotors will rust if you live where it precipitates and the when run - may seize up calipers by all the rust caking it. take precautions (drive it around to clear rust when you see it starting to form.
* add fuel stabilizer if you foresee long idle periods, ie, idle for couple months.

Thanks guys. Just new owners nerves I guess ...... My RX7 got used everyday but I travelled a bit to work so wasnt issue.
It will be always garaged.
I guess having full tank of fuel would cut down on condensation build up?
