Warranty work

My 1st to 2nd synchro I believe is trashed but I have a warranty that covers it..problem is that I have almost full exhaust(no cat) an intake and the CEL light is on..do you think that they are gonna try to dick me with the warranty work even though none of my mods have to do with the synchros? mind you the warranty is not directly with Mazda they are just doing the work so they get paid regardless which leads me to think that it wint matter with the mods..just seeing if anyone has any experiences thanks for your time...

they wont blame anything on the exhaust, and they can't legally.

But, they can refuse service because you do not have a cat since it is part of a federal mandate for all gasoline fuel cars to be equipped with emissions regulation.

Oh alright..I doubt they do that though because Mazda will actually be making money behind this so I know they are gonna tell the warranty company all the right things so I don't have to pay..if they don't they would be taking money out their own pockets..would be dumb of them

Wait, what? How's Mazda making money on warranty work?
If it becomes an issue, put the cat back on.

DEALERS make money on corporate warranty work.

Corporate Mazda loses money on warranty work.

This is because dealers file for the claim and the corporation reimburses the dealer, including labor rates.

It sounds like the OP has an aftermarket warranty though, which yes, the dealer will still make money just fine.

Most aftermarket warranty companies like to deny claims with lots of excuses. There aren't too many quality ones out there.

You can get claims out of most of them, but it's usually more painful than factory warranties. Usually. Your's might be one of the good ones.
