Volk 18x7.5 +42. Will it fit?
They aren't going to look much different from stock fit as long as the tires are at least 225s. The slightly lower offset will make up for the missing 1/2". You'd have to look real close to notice the increase in inside clearance.
Another question that is probably well over asked is fitment..I've done a bit of research as to what spacers to run and some have said 8 mm all round since they are +42? Suggestions? I also will be receiving my tein basis coil overs within the week, and would like to achieve as close to a flush look as possible as well as lookin semi aggressive. Is this even possible with 18x7.5?
Stock setup is flush with 25mm spacers and 245s. Yours will be pushed out another 2mm or so. It will be very close, possibly needing your fenders rolled. There's a handy rim calculator in the tools drop box at the top of the page.
This is assuming 245 tires. Mess around with the calculator using different tire sizes and spacers till you get close to stock -25

Um, why don't you just go and test fit the wheel(s) on your car and see what you think? If you put them on and you like the fitment and everything is fine go for it. If not then pass. I don't comprehend all of that offset stuff either, so that's why I test fit before I buy wheels. My thought is why make it more complicated than it needs to be?
30s should work. It might look a little odd pushing a thin wheel/ tire out that far, but it should fit. At worst, you'd have to roll a little. I saw a video of a guy rolling his fenders with a heat gun and a wooden baseball bat. Turned out nice. No cracked paint and an even roll.
Use the right tool for the job. Advising people to do stuff like that is just retarded because 90% of the time the results will be disastrous.
It's funny that this was brought up though because there was a really nice FD at Coffee and car last time that a new member to town brought. He fucked up drivers side fender due to the fact that he let his buddy do what you are suggesting. His buddy said he had done it many times before without issue.
If you look closely you can see the damage here.
