UK Viewing an RX8 on Monday

Hello! I am new here, and found this site in my research before purchasing an RX8. I have always loved the car, and the stigma that often goes along with it is not enough to put me off. I am trying to absorb as much of the information, particularly in the new owners thread, but of course it is a lot to take in.

I'm fairly sold on getting an RX8, and am confident I can handle the maintenance, i've already started compiling a list of warning signs, maintenance routines and such for myself. But my question is, what are the most pressing things to ask the dealer before purchasing to know i'm not being shafted/to barter down the price?

The model in question this time is an 06 Rx8 Evolve in Copper Red Mica. 51k Miles, full service history and such.

I know this will probably go under the radar, but I appreciate any help, I am working on my knowledge of the car, but I feel a little overloaded, until I can see and do everything in the flesh.

Engine health is very important. Compression test is the only way to tell. There can be issues with the transmission syncro if it's been shifted poorly. CAT csn be a problem. .. and ignition is a replacement part

Other than that the rest of the car is very solid

Compression test first and foremost. If that is good to go and the cat is good go next I would get the cat checked out. There is a reason a OEM cat is $1200 US so about $675 quid. If that cat is good, buy it and replace the coils, wires and spark plugs as piece of mind.

Compression test is must just to know the real health of the engine. Also as for a full diagnostic scan before sealing a deal just to be safe.

I have a link for the add, if there's anyone who would mind having a glance over, and spot anything Good/Bad? (and no, "The steering wheel is on the wrong side" isn't a criticism) : Mazda RX8 Evolve 4dr 1.3

I have also been advised by my brother to ask if this is an ex Rx8club members car.
