Hi people, my RX8 has been stood for around a year and was working fine when it got parked up. It's had a new battery just fitted, but when I went to start her up, all I got was the engine turning but not starting up.
I'm pretty useless with mechanics myself, so I really haven't got a clue if its a minor or major fault.
Hard to describe by words so I thought I'd record a quick video of it so the people who know what their talking about can hear it for themselves.

How is the health of your ignition (starter, coils, pugs, wires)?
Did you use any fuel stabilizer before parking?
Did you do a full inspection to ensure that no mice made a nest in your intake/exhaust?

ya i dont even hear it sparking anything off though

 

Cheers for the reply, but I wouldn't know the health of my spark plugs, coils etc as I really am useless with cars and haven't got a clue. I kind of know how to check the spark plugs, but the coils etc, is more than I can handle.

Fuel stabilizer was not put in, it only had a little bit of petrol in the tank when parked up. I've topped it with fresh fuel since though.

and as for my intake/exhaust, that's the next thing I will have a go at myself. Could you provide any links that would help me with this cleaning?

 

No, it don't seem to be sparking at all mate. Any other suggestions?
