hey all, i'm a potential owner of a rx8, i currently own a fd3s rx7.

i would like to know whats different in the type s and the standard rx8.

its a 2003 automatic rx8.
how can i find if its type s?

Type S, was only referenced in Japan. But it is the equivalent to any M/T trims.

Don't waste your time looking at A/T's, and if you must get one only an 06 and up.

 

its not a type S by the sounds

in NZ Type S only comes in 6 speed manual and the redline starts at 8,500rpm

that is the easiest way to tell
