Turbo options

Hello,

Has anybody experienced with the cheap Turbos they sell on ebay? JDM, Garret, Fastwayracer, CXRacing perhaps?

This is not a project car, just looking to add a little more power to the 2005 RX-8. What are the expected gains from these complete kits that are $600-800 bucks. I can only expect cheap quality but really looking to get the car moving a little more.

Anything helps!

!
These kits are designed to relieve you of "$600-$800 bucks" . This they do very well.
There are no "gains" because they don't fit or work .

Figured. not planning on dropping 6K on my rx-8 but just thought it may be worth it. I read a lot of good and bad comments about them.

Don't do it. I have several friends who have tried those kits on Civics, Miatas, etc. None of them worked well. Parts will not fit, other parts will be missing, other parts will be garbage. You will end up spending more fixing what is wrong with the kit than you would have spent on buying quality in the first place, and you will still have a Chinacharger in the end.

Spend some time in the FI subforum. The RX-8 is not a cheap nor easy car to turbocharge.
