Hi i'm trying to touch up some rock chips on my hood and i've got the touch up paint that came with my car, i've filled a few chips and leveled them, buffed them etc.

I'm looking for some clearcoat touch up now, should I be okay with getting some universal clearcoat from advanced auto parts (which is a much more convienent trip for me than the dealer)? Has anyone one ordered it online?

my car is 2004 sunlight silver btw.

I've got some sunlight silver Mazda touch up paint that came with my car. It really doesn't match too bad. I work at a body shop though, and personally, if the clear is damaged bad enough that it cant be wet sanded and buffed, it probably has base coat damage as well so you may want to just consider going with an actually base coat touch up, such as the one i described that I have
