I can't recall anyone around there, but you will need a Flash tool(mazdaedit personal or cob AP) for your car or you'll need to find someone with mazdaedit pro. Do you have one? What are you looking to have done with the tune?

It came with a Cobb but it only has the ones that came with it- its currently running the MazdaMania? one.
Really all I want to do is up my Idle a bit when car is warm and try to squeeze a bit more ummmph out of 1st and 2nd gears.
The car is running really well now that i've fixed a few things, and I just ordered the SakeBomb Garage Coil Package.
It's a 2005 Sunlight Silver Manual Trans.

The Mazdamaniac tune is almost definitely locked(sometimes he forgot). To change settings you'll have to have him adjust the tune or re tune the car. If it already has his tune then that is probably all you're going to get out of the car. Depending on the fixes.

What did you fix?

Replaced Magnaflow Exhaust with an OBX, Replaced K&N Airbox back to Stock, New Radiator, All the A/C parts, Oil Catch can, Cleaned all the connections everywhere. Just little stuff really. Cant wait for the new Coils !
I'm also going to put an iPad in a Navi Unit I just obtained from a Junkyard.
I'll do a write-up with pics when I do that.

getting rid of the K&N might have changed the tune. I'm not really sure since most people with them get on here and then swap to something else. You still won't gain any more umph unless the MAF scale is off. You might be able to follow your fuel trims. If they are over 5 Then there's probably a difference. You can't get them to 0 since the environment changes they will always change. I could help you with a remote tune If you're interested, but I would have to start from the beginning unless Mazdamaniac's map is unlocked. I doubt it is.

How do I look to see if it's unlocked ? I don't want to mess anything up.
Oh I forgot I don't have a Cat either previous owner gutted it.
The Car runs really well right now I think i'm just spoiled and would like to try for more- but it's not that big of a deal.
Maybe these badass Coils i've got coming will solve everything
Thanks for your expertise - this site and everyone here rules !

yeah if your coils are old you might gain a bit. the gutted cat is a god thing for the car. That doesn't really give you power. mabybe a hp or 2. the car was just built pretty good to begin with. It would be good to raise the dwell of your new coils if possibale.

To check the MM map. get Access tuner race, then copy the map off of your AP and try to open it. If it opens you are good if it's locked it will fuss at you.

I'm not sure about mac's. Can you run a windows emulator to use ATR? and yes the Accessport manager is actually how you get the map off the AP then you open it in ATR.
