Steps to take when leaving rx8 in garage for long time.

Hi, I'm a newbie and would like some help to work out how I go about leaving my rota in my garage whilst I'm at work for a week. This will be a constant event as I have a new job.
Is it bad to leave sit for long periods of time?
Is there anything I should do when starting 1st time when back after a week? I have nobody to start while I'm away.

You should only worry about precautions when it's like a month. 1 week at a time between drives is how lots of 8's spend their lives and is nothing to worry about. Just make sure the battery doesn't go dead.

My dad used to have a salvaged 07 RX8 with around 130K miles on it. We left the car in the garage for about 10 days. When we got back it wouldn't start. I don't know how to explain this in words that make sense but he would turn the key and the engine would stutter and rev a little bit, but once he stopped holding the key to the ignition the car would turn back off. So what we did was he put it in neutral and i pushed him out the garage, (we live on a hill) i pushed him down the hill while he twisted the key. Once he got to the bottom the car eventually turned on.

Thats just my experience from what happened to me. I don't know if this will apply to you but I'm just trying to help

I've left mine sitting for over a week when I went on vacation, but that was only once, it started up fine. But I had replaced my coils and battery 6 months prior. Maybe that helped? I'd probably only be worried about the battery dying.

^ This. A week is nothing. Mine goes two to three weeks without use, although I do try to start and run it for about 15 minutes once a week. This is mostly to keep the battery healthy.
