Stalling on me when pulling to a stop....

Just had a clutch put in about a month ago and now it will stall when I drop into second pulling to a stop. It doesn't do this every time or even when its running semi cold. Only seems to stall out when it's been running for a while. It will also do it when its been running shut it off run into the store or whatever....fire it up and it won't even stay running it just dies. Doesn't seem to want to idle right. Never had any problems before my new clutch....

Any ideas fellas?

Does it restart easily when warm (like afterit shuts off)?
It could be a number of things, but few related to the clutch. Can you do this: stop on a level surface, foot off brake, car not moving, put it in 1st but don't release the clutch. Do rpms drop or car crawl forward? Now put it in 5th but don't release clutch: do rpms drop or car shudder/crawl? If not, your clutch is not causing the problem.

Usual suspects for idling problems: ignition coils+spark plugs, vacuum leaks, engine compression, dirty/oily MAF. When's the last time you had any of those verified/replaced?

Ya it starts no problem right after. That's exactly what it does it will crawl back up to usual rpms. I can catch it sometimes before it'll stall out I can tell when it's going to do it.

I had an oil change when I got the clutch. All of the plugs were changed last spring. I know it has a dried up apex seal which can give me some compression problems it is leaking a minor bit of oil but like I said I never had a problem with it stalling until I got a new clutch....

How do you know it has a "dried up apex seal"?
Also, what does that even mean?

The car had sat for years not being used at all....one of the apex seals had dried out. They told me this when I bought it. The Mechanic confirmed it when he replaced the clutch.

Apex seals are made of metal, they don't dry. Also, you can't inspect them without taking the engine apart. Never go to this mechanic again.

Go over the items I listed, especially the coils and plugs. If older than 25k or unknown age, replace.
