Stalling after about 5 minutes on idle

Hello guys and girls,
I have a "small" problem with my RX8, which is engine stalling. I found other threads, but in most, the engine start to stall immediately after or soon from start, but in my case, it won't. So to best describe my issue. I have 2004 RX8 MT 192BHP 5Speed. The distance gauge says about 150K KM(about 92K Miles). The cold starts and hot starts seems to be OK. When it starts cold, the RPMs are about 2k and it doesn't have any type of RPM gauge bounce. Than after a while, when the engine is warmed up, it goes down to 1500 RPM and stays there. After 8 minutes since the initial start, engine falls somewhere 600-800RPM and than after about 3-5 sec dies. Than I start the engine again, jumps at 1500 and holds them for about 5 minutes, than again - 600-800RPM for about 5 sec and dies. I've tried to push the gas to the floor, when it does that 600RPM, but is seems to have no effect on that, that the car doesn't respond to that. No gain in RPM, nothing. Than I can start it all over again and it is the same song.... When I drive it, it is behaving just find, but when I stop at parking lot and let it idle, than it stall again after approximately 5 minutes. Do you have any idea? Oh and happy new year :-) Jerry

Get OBD data with a OBD reader, while this is happening. You wwnt airflow g/sec and short term, long term fuel trim values. If there is a vacuum leak or excess of fuel, it will show up in those.

Any check engine lights? How old are ignition coils and spark plugs?

Thanks for your reply Loki. I haven't change the spark plugs or coils(have the car for about 700KM) and get it imported from a used car dealer so no info from his side either. Could be old as the car itself on brand new :-) But spark plugs looked ok when I've check them

OK, you'll want known good coils on there. When they fail, there are no symptoms except a dead engine some time later.

Could also be responsible for your current problem.

How long since you cleaned your MAF or air filter?

Actually when my throttle body valve gets a little sticky, mine will stall as you describe.
Once I clean the butterfly valve, I'm good to go.
