We'll I m a newbie but I installed the SOHN adapter 2 years ago. The ONE advantage "I like" is the ability to just lift the bonnet at any gas up and see the oil reservoir level, at which time I can top off without touching the hot engine. I can travel about 1200 miles between top offs. I made a simple calibration mark on the tank, marking full quart, 1/2 quart, 1/4 quart and the distance to travel until I run out. (never happens).
It also lets me run full synthetic, yes I know that's a different thread..
Happy motoring.

I've run one for the last 8 years on a car that sees track, street and winter. Separating engine oil from injection helps make appropriate choices for each instead of compromising. For example, not burning liters of expensive synth in one track day.
Whether it makes any difference in engine life can't comment. I don't think it hurts as am still on original engine. Also I premix in addition to the oil injection. Consider it as part of a larger engine maintenance strategy.
