Hi everyone,

My name is Alex, I live in Italy and roughly a year ago I got my hands on a 2004 RX-8.
Living in Europe it is obviously a 231HP manual and I just love it.

Being the nerd that I am have a couple projects ongoing:

• Creation of an on-board computer with:
  • 8'' touch screen
  • hidden dashcams recording video and audio while driving
  • bird's eye view when parking (like in this
    video
    )
  • Sentry mode when someone gets nearby when it is parked
  • Android auto (wifi) and wireless charging
  • 3D printed parts
• Re-installation of the VFAD (you guys think California is strict about environmental stuff? move to the EU and think again )

My question is: is it okay if I open a thread about the re-installation of the VFAD (I'm missing part numbers and dimensions) here and ask the mods to move it to the appropriate section?
Being a newbie i can't open it elsewhere.

Congrats on the new car, your plans seems cool, give us some updates of the process.
remember to take a look at those fixed posts, they are very important for us newbies. Honestly the forum seems to be kind of dying but there are so many good posts to go over.
anyway you should find some references on the service manual.
