Now that I have full headerback exhaust, new ignition, an AEM cai, and my car is driving extremely well and sounds great, there were a few cosmetic mods I was looking into before I feel "complete".

The first was smoked side marker lights, opposed to the stock amber ones. Since my car is metallic gray, with black wheels and accents, I was thinking smoked side markers would be a good choice and easy to find. I had a similar look to my 2010 GLI and of course, found a set no problem. Now with the Rx-8, I can't seem to find anything, at all. I would rather leave it as is than paint or dip them myself. Anyone know of any vendors?

The second thing I was considering was the S2 style taillights. Yes, I like the darker look, as that's clearly what I'm going for, and at the same time my stock gaskets on the stock tails are slowly going. Figured I could solve all that for less than $200, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Anyone know if the default ebay s2 taillight setup is truly plug and play?

 

S1 as S2 tailights are different sizes...so they are not interchangeable. .

That being said not sure what you are getting with those lights...it could be an S1 footprint that looks like an S2 light.....
