Sirius Radio Problem: Call SIRIUS

I was just curious if anyone has shared this problem with myself. I drive an 06 shinka which I purchased about a year and a half ago. I just recently subscribed to sirius radio, and the only message that comes through on the sirius display is: Call SIRIUS - 1800 Sirius (or something like that). It does not display any channels at all including the ones required for activation, so I'm paying for a service I can't currently use. I couldn't find a thread relating to the problem, so here I am. Has anyone else had this problem with their 8? Any light or ideas on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Have you called them? You might need to have them resend the codes again.

Yes I have called them, but in order to activate the service, I must tune in to a specified channel. The problem is getting to that channel. When I push the SIRIUS button, the display only tells me to call sirius. It shows no told channels. I'm feeling pretty clueless lol

Check all your connections. Might have a loose connector then. If it's factory installed the receiver is in the trunk.

I checked the receiver and all seems well, but it appears the antenna wire had frayed, so I bought a new one with speedy freight so should figure out soon. I'm staying hopeful

Call Sirius and let them know they might cut you a break on your bill since you can't use it. Always worth a shot.
