As I have never removed that particular grill, I would suggest pulling the radio panel and, with a flashlite, look at the underside of the dash to see what holds it all together. the radio panel is wide enough that, if no major components are in the way, you should get not only a clear view but also possibly clear access to remove the speaker and grill.

I had to pull the hole front of the dash off to put my pods up there so yeah every thing is connected starting with the lowest part and working your way up. Pain in the arss the first time you do it but going back to gather is easy. That vid is the one I used to help me watch it closely.
