Shout out from ABQ NM

Darn phones!.. Spent a good amt of time introducing myself only to hit submit and be directed to sign in. Lol. Not sure it had to pass moderator first? ( if someone find my really long previous post, it would be appreciated to share with y'all here vs this post) Any who REALLY long story, short, my name is Adrian aka Integr8. New to the rotary, but not your average novice! I like to think I'm friendly so hello to all! I look forward to talking with y'all & potentially meeting some other owners in the area. Happy motoring everyone! Good day!

Image help

Read the thread about posting pictures. Either the website on site tools or a site to host pictures. I don't see any option for the site upload and can't get the hosting sites to work either? Uploaded and linked but link takes me to what appears to be a search engine? What gives? Because I'm a new member?...Easiest solution? ( wanted to show y'all, even tho its an update starter, it is super nasty inside...

Must admit I'm kind of sad as to not even welcoming hello. No big deal tho. This rx8 brought my girlfriend and I together when I sold it to her some time ago (business first jaja.) Unfortunately due to our lack of knowledge in the rotary, I'm certain we helped speed up the process of low compression. Despite the pretty heafty price tag on the rebuild we refused to give up on the beauty because it is such a blast to drive! 04 brilliant black w 66k miles. According to dealership, if I remember correctly, this vehicle is already on its third replacement engine (how sad!) So my research began. Thank you all for doing such a good job on putting quality info together on this site. In the meantime (thanks to y'all, a very short amt of time involved overall) while we gather funds to do this job correctly, I have already cleaned out the ssv, intake manifolds, all the grounds I could find including body and block, pulled the updated starter out and decided to pull it apart and clean as well (not sure when this was installed but u wouldn't believe how nasty it was inside!) Speaking of nasty, wow@my cabin air filter. The particles on 1 section of filter was literally a half inch thick! Gross! I'd show y'all pictures but can't seem to get them to load right from my phone (more so hate trying to navigate from my from) Initially a nightmare considering cost, I now get excited, look forward and enjoy working on this unique piece of machinery! Looking into getting a SOHN adapter and the BHR Tahoe coil kit ASAP! Although my research will continue confronting me w major concerns that come with ownership of this 8 is always appreciated! Thanks again to everyone for their collaboration here! Have a great day!
