Hey, So I have to replace the engine in my 05 4spd auto. I work with a guy that races Miatas and he has an 09 rx8 parts car. He says the engine is good but since its a series II it takes a lot more to do a swap. Can anyone outline what all I'd need to do in order to put the series II into my series I? I'm thinking that if I can get the engine from him for a good price (which I know he will) it might be worth the extra trouble to do the swap. Any thoughts?

I think the cost of doing this project it is better off just buying a series 2 overall...unless you really like the series 1
