Seicane Android Unit?

Since they still consider me "new" to this site, I'll have to post here. Has anyone ever used the touchscreen head units from Seicane? They are the only company advertising direct fit all in one units. Link posted below.

No but that is an interesting find. Two years ago I fitted a 7" Joying Android stereo into a double-din Metra kit and PAC RP4-MZ11 for steering wheel and climate controls because no drop-in units were available at the time.

I love my setup, particularly after some customization (I am not an audiophile).

What I particularly like about the Seicane unit, aside from screen size, is the slim profile. With so much room to work behind it, installation would be simple.

Try it and post up a review!

Strange how nobody has posted anything about it online, even though it’s the only direct fit unit I’ve seen for these cars, and it’s cheaper than everything else. My biggest fear is the audio quality vs stock. It doesn’t list the total output at all.

I'm sure the reviews that apply to other Seicane products would be a good indicator of quality. The only thing that appears to be custom about this is the piano black bezel for 9" screen, which is also available separately for not much money. Lower on the specs page it says output is 45WX4 Mosfet, but if I were buying this I would probably go with the 8-core, 4GB model that is selling for $270.

I would definitely want the top model for sure. I've noticed that absolutely nobody has any photos of aftermarket head units for the series 2. Is nobody replacing them? I want to retain all of my stock functionality, and Crutchfield recommended some stuff for me, but they seemed to have no clue what they were talking about. Where are the series 2 people with aftermarket radios?

Considering that there are only fewer than ~17,000 Series 2 made, chances are the aftermarket support isn't gonna be good.

As for me, the antique navigation never bothered me enough to do anything about it.

You are probably on your own on this one. Don't be too surprised if they send you something that doesn't exactly work. If S2 is different than S1 then you are SOL, since I doubt those manufacturers have touched an S1, let alone an S2.
