Seafoaming engine
So I just ran some seafoam into both of the intake ports but I didnt have anything to measure it out with and each port took about a half a can which is 8oz into each port which probably wont hurt anything I dont think but it got dark on me pretty quick and I live in somewhat of a residential area and I dont think I want to rev it out at 10pm (didnt fully think this through before I started lol) is it ok to let it sit overnight or should I just go outside and give my neighbors some soothing noises tonight lol

also I have 8oz of 2 cycle which I will be measuring out unlike the seafoam lol. since it already has seafoam in the ports could I go ahead and add oil to my gas now or should I just stick with running it through the ports? if i can still add it to the gas how many oz's should i put in there?

Maybe it did only hurt my car but I got a pretty good "oh ****" moment when puffy white smoke flooded my whole neighborhood
also forgot to turn the a/c off before i started the car which led to a pretty good headache afterwards

Puffy white smoke is normal :-D
Mazda makes a specific cleaner for this. But seafoam works "ok" ... I assume all is well, notice any difference after the cleaning ? I'm debating doing this, even tho my compression numbers are golden and only 33k on the motor.

I knew it was gonna smoke before I did it I just highly under estimated the amount of course I put too much seafoam through the ports which may have caused a little more smoke, it literally flooded my whole block couldn't even see the street it was pretty bad lol. But nothing changed after doing it of course nothing was wrong before I did it I just read it was a maintenence thing but 9k pointed out some say it's a waste of time others run water through it and decarb it that way some swear by seafoam. In the end it's your car if you want to do it then do it but it's bad for your cat

I did before and after testing:

Ingesting the seafoam and letting it sit does nothing at all to the carbon in the engine.
If you want the seafoam to remove carbon, the engine has to be running when you do it. But if the engine is running, distilled water works just as well as seafoam, and costs 99 cents per gallon rather than something like $8 for 16oz.
