200. Believe me, I do search first. But as you know the search engine sucks here. And yes, I've had this discussion already. I know about Google search, but as I stated previously, I don't use Google for personal reasons. That said, I do appreciate everyone's help knowing that it's been asked many times. Also what starts out as a personal question tends to bunny trail into many other things that have been covered in the forum. Thanks for your patience and info.

Same as any search engine out there, really.

So if you want to limit your results to rx8club.com, just type *Whatever you want to search* site:rx8club.com

It works! Thanks. What a pleasure being able to search and getting the correct subject info. The engine here is pitiful. The last 3 searches I did here regarding different subjects yielded the same exact threads. 😰😰😰

I just ordered new coils and wires from mazmart. Kris put new plugs in after the compression test and I noticed a difference with just the plugs. Those guys at mazmar t are great. Turns out I didn't have to wait for c coils coming from Japan. Plus when I ordered on line, the cheapest shipping was ground UPS. I called afterward with a question, told them I placed an order and they asked which shipping I used. I said the cheapest UPS. He asked why I didn't use USPS because it's cheaper. I told him that option wasn't there. He told me he would keep an eye out for my order and change the shipping. They changed it to USPS priority and refunded me $7.00. Plus it will be here in half the time.

I like this quick video. Got the link from the rotaryheaven dot net forum but I know I had seen it before here.

I actually never tried it and instead soaked with transmission fluid but would consider this in the future. I recommend having a mid pipe instead of the cat converter to avoid causing other issues from any of these procedures.

I understand during steam cleaning you have a higher heat content going out the exhaust with potential to really warm up your muffler so just be careful.

Mac,
how did the ATF work out for you. Did it affect your cat?

It was my first time and I really think I did not use enough ATF. Barely smoked upon startup after a day of soaking. I felt by the seat of my pants the car had better throttle response at low RPM.

I was really hoping to restore high end power but sadly that was really not the case. Everything seemed to be the same in the high end.

Hope that helps! Cat was removed and I was using my racing beat resonated mid pipe during the procedure.
