SAS Control Module Disconnected (Airbag Light)?

So today I decided to try (once again) to see if I could get that always-on airbag light to turn off by disconnecting and reconnecting the yellow sensors under the driver/passenger seats, and behind the glovebox. From searching threads, this fix seems to have worked for some people here in the past. Tried it twice, didn't work. Gave up and moved on to something else; getting to the bolt that holds the stereo in from underneath the steering wheel. Then I found that behind the ashtray was another yellow connector not connected to anything:

Now, I'm assuming this plugs in to the box directly behind it in the picture, which seems to be the SAS control module. I had the Takata airbag recall done a few months ago, so my question is; does Mazda really not check the connection of the airbag sensors once they replace it? Maybe they forgot to plug it back in, or it's been unplugged since the previous owner had it?

I'm kind of nervous about plugging it back in, it should be okay though right? For all I know they 'forgot' to replace the airbag too.

Someone tell me if I'm about to get an airbag to the face.
