I’m looking to identify where a bearing in the transmission might be being held on removal of the 6th gear shift rod. It’s one that is not shown with any springs. I can’t tell what’s its function is to see where It might be stuck or sitting.

There are three different RX-8 6 speed transmissions

I think everyone on the board has that PDF as do I. I already used it to dismantle the transmisson.

My question is on parts 18 and 19. I’m trying to figure out where part 19 goes when it’s in the transmission and what it does. It didn’t come out with the rod.
