In all honesty, I would suggest getting a rebuilt drop-in from a reputable supplier like Mazmart. All required parts will be checked, verified, replaced and nothing will be left to chance. Unless, of course, you are or have an extremely experienced rotary rebuilder in which case he will know which parts to start with and be able to check the rest for wear and to make sure nothing is bent, warped or scored beyond use.

It's a crap shoot realy. You won't know what needs replacing till it's broke down.

Swap a v8. More long term reliability, torque, aftermarket support, ots parts, and better gas mileage

Just a heads up. rebuild is online 2500. and if u send them your engine he will take off money off that so u saving money. Tell him Tj told u to call for extra discount loll. omar = 956 739 6362. ohh before i forget they do v8 swaps for 9k everything included. drive in drive out. Again tell him Tj sent you.

9k is a pretty damn good price if they are including the mounting solution, doing the work, supplying an engine and trans, and doing everything properly.

I was thinking it would be more in the realm of 10-12k doing it myself.
