Rx8 Question
So I went to a shop so they can change all four of my brake pads. He supposedly changed all four but my ebrake isn't braking. Like if I park it in a hill, it will slowly roll down w the ebrake up. I spoke with the shop owner about it, he told me that is a different pad inside the brake system. Is he correct ?

I have seen some people loosen the cable thinking that will help.
Get in your car and crank the parking lever multiple times.
That might adjust them, if not, they botched your brake job.

The only reason I say he didn't change them was because the ebrake was hardly braking the car and when it came out the shop it was the sameeeee way. Nothing changed, I could lift up the ebrake and the car would continue moving as if nothing happened lol but I just spoke with the shop owner nd he told me he just never adjusted it, he thought it was fine how it was.....
I need a good reliable shop, alot of this mechanics are just playing the guessing game, I told him to do an oil change and he put 5 quarts in their....I was like Jesus Christ you better start taking out oil lol and he's telling me how he owns an rx7 and he knows what's he's doing -__-

It's probably an ebrake adjustment. I don't know why we're saying pumping the ebrake is gonna help. If you can brake, your ebrake should work unless 1) it needs adjusted, 2) it isn't hooked up, or 3) the cables have been overstretched and need replaced.

Other than that, the rest of my reply stands, I think the people who did the brakes botched it.
