Wanted an Rx8 as my first car but ended up with a tiburon, then went with a miata. But I'm ready to go for the Rx8 now. I'm 18 and just put my miata on craigslist right here.

+How much is the insurance vs the miata. I got a quote and it said only 2 dollars more, which confuses me. Anyone here who went from a miata to rx8?

There are too many factors involved for anyone to answer that question with any kind of accuracy. Location, age and driving record are all major factors that determine the cost of YOUR insurance rates. Calling the Insurance company and getting rate quotes is your only option there. Unless there is a member who is an agent and lives in your area, we won't be able to answer that question.

 

I think I've seen your car on cr.net. Looks clean.
As for trades, it's going to be up to you to find an rx8 and offer your car up for trade...be proactive if you want a certain car.

I had an 06 Miata and my insurance went down $17 a month when I bought my 06 8.

 

You might get lucky and find someone who wants to trade you with an rx8...good luck!
