RX8 only starts 2nd try after engine oil top up.

RX8 only starts 2nd try after engine oil top up.
Hey guys.
Just couple days ago, I started to have a problem starting up the car. It would only work second try no matter if cold or hot. This started to occur after i topped up my car, which i accidentally got it higher than the maximum point on the dipstick.
I take care of my 8 like a little baby. It's a Type S 6 speed manual. The car recently just got a brand new engine, as the old one just died of old age (136,000 kms). Insurance was boys and gave me a new engine, which has done about 1300kms now.
The car has a gutted cat, AEM air intake and thats about it. I warm it up fully before I drive and I also premix. I live in New Zealand and 98 is our premium petrol which is what I fill up everytime with. I redline and do some skkkrrs here and there. Other than the skkrrs, i look after it very well or to the best of my knowledge.
So just a couple of days ago, i check the dipstick and the oil level was half way, so i decided to top up just a little bit. The place where i got the new engine told me to use 20w 50, so that what I did. But when i topped up... I kinda went over the maximum mark on the dipstick and after that top up, my car wouldn't start first go like before the top up.
Due to this I thought i must've overfilled it, so today i drained abit of oil out and now the oil is sitting between the halfway point and maximum point.
Now the car still does the same thing still starts on 2nd try or it would take a little long to start first try.
But everything else is fine. Drives like a beaut <3
So I'm just wondering if there's any solution to this.
