I drove my 8 about 40 minutes today to just drive it. It had rained yesterday and today was beyond humid, so i decided,to turn the AC on. I got home, and realized there was a puddle on the floor. So i checked underneath and saw whats in the pic. Im hoping its not the tranny fluid or something else. Im worried since i usually see the AC water drops closer to the engine. Not on the tranny itself. Any ideas?

 

Does it feel like oil or water?
Oil won't dry so check back later.

 

It felt like water to me, wasn't as viscous as oil. Its dried up now. So im assuming it was water?

 

The evaporator drain line empties on the top of the firewall above the transmission. If you are driving the water will run back on the top of it..and drip out below the car in that area...either off the tranny...or off the body
