Hello, i was wondering if anybody had the same issue. I swapped an engine on my 2008 40th anniversary rx8, we started the car without the intake and everything sounded fine after hearing the engine running fine we proceeded to put the intake and throttle body on and the car starts the misfire and not run ok. Any ideas what could it be?

also we took the intake off again and the car starts fine.

 

What intake are you using?
If it's not attached then you don't have a MAF reading and the car might hold idle but it's gonna have a hard time going anywhere.

. These cars are very sensitive to vacuum leaks and MAF airstream stability. Like any MAF system?

 

It’s the stock intake.
I just found out it’s the MAF sensor, I’ll be replacing it tomorrow and I might also replace my fuel pump.
