Do you have an example of what sound you're looking for? From the factory all rotaries sound pretty normal.

P.S. all rotaries this side of 1985 are 13b's.

I agree that they really sound close to the same. The RX-8 has a pretty quiet exhaust from the factory, much like an FC. Heck, the GSL-SE had a very quiet exhaust. The 8 does have a slightly unique sound but once you start modifying the exhaust system, you will see how similar they all sound, 12A, 13B, 13B Renesis...

Thanks I did not know that, erm I’m talking about the sort of rolling sound when the car idles. Sort of like a “wub wub” I guess if that makes sense haha.

You want it to have a lope like a V8 with an overly aggressive cam profile?

I think op is talking about porting on a peripheral engine.
You won't get that sound on a renesis...

The sound results from porting. You can do it on a Renesis, but it's a huge expense just for sound, so get informed on the tradeoffs porting brings, especially on a Renesis. You can google how all that works.
