RX8 engine question

Has anyone ever swapped the engines in the RX8's? Mine is a 2005 and I am new to this forum but since my engine was a defective one and I still love the car- I wanted to know if any of you have had this problem and if so what did you do with it?

Well, you take the old engine out, you put the new engine in. It requires time and tools. What`s your actual question?

I've done it more than once. Not the end of the world. In fact I'm going to do it again this summer on my 04 Nordic Green GT. So yeah...lots of people on here have had their engine fail. This is to be expected when buying an RX-8. Its going to happen at some point and its best to start putting money aside weekly for the rebuild or replacement as soon as you buy the car.
