RX8 Body Kits
I already have done quite a few modifications on my 2011 rx8 sport, but i really want to make it stand out and have a body kit fitted. Any recommendations on body kits, i know the mazdaspeed kit is quite popular, and if so, links to where they might be available for purchase would be greatly appreciated. Here is the car in its current state.

There are a lot of Series II kits available but a lot of the guys on here will tell you to keep the exterior panels stock and just lower it. It gives the RX8 a cleaner look instead of jumping too far into the "fast & furious" look.
Now you don't have to go this extreme with the wheels and what not..but it gives you an idea of what you could work towards.
Clean cars are in right now so just keep that in mind. Otherwise car looks great! What part of NY are you from?

Thanks for all the help! and Long Island, NY. I definitely do want to keep the car as clean and slick as i can nothing too fancy. How does everyone feel about neon or interior lighting?

Dodge Neon
I'm all for it .....some lighting done right gives the Rx8 a whole new look ..... As long as you don't go full ricer ... Never go full ricer

IMO, neon is a bit tacky. If you are looking for better lighting, a much more efficient method is to substitute LED lights. Brighter, whiter and longer-lasting and, if you shop carefully, probably a lot less money than rice-on...err...neon. For example, I have subbed LED's for the interior overhead lamps, side markers and front parking lights, so far. All use the same base as the old 158/194 peanut bulbs that were stock side markers for decades and, by buying out-of-country, I got the bulbs for about 20 cents each, shipping included.

Exhaust
Now i know the RX8 is not known for its sound, but i would like to make the car sound a bit louder and really get that emphasis when it changes gears. Any recommendations on mufflers, or exhaust systems and if so any idea where i can get the best deal?

Life After 8K RPM....
Exhasut?? Try ExoticSpeed, Greddy, or AP if you want extreme loud.
Get rid of the CAT, get a midpipe..
Agree with Mysterion,, Go for LEDS instead of Neons
No Body Kitts...Just get a lip kit and lower the car...

Can anyone shed light on the difference in measurement for 2004 rx8 hood vs a 2011 rx8 hood. I am in the market to purchase a new hood and it seems like the series I rx8's have more options than the series II. Is there actually a difference and would a 2004 one fit on my 2011 mazda? If so is there any other parts like the hood that is labeled only for series I but can fit series II?
