@Brettus
Just found what the problem is.... holy :O check the pics... the previous owner closed the SSV electrical circuit plug and unmounted from the SSV the switch and all the electrical parts...

In the last picture, is that black normal on the yellow part? is that an injector? seems not attached properly...

Apart from everything appearing filthy (which is an issue in itself IMO ) the yellow injector looks to be attached as per normal.

@Brettus

what about the SSV? it didn't have any cable or connector attached and the plug cable was in closed loop... can i just clean it and mount again as it is or is better to buy a new working SSV?

What if i just try to cut with a flex the base and put it as a cap without the SSV body? i think as it was, it run always with the SSV closed as no connector & switch was attached to the SSV.

This could cause the "boost" around 6000 RPMs, right?

Thanks!!

I think that plug is just the the one that goes to the ssv microswitch . Quite a few 8s never had that switch .... it's not essential. So I don't think you have found the issue yet . If it were me ....id pull the upper intake manifold and give everything a damn good clean check all the solenoids for continuity (60ohms max.) check the vac tank and check valve etc . It kind looks like a dirty mess to me ........... If you brought it to me to diagnose I'd probably take one look at it and say ...come back when it's clean.

And yes .... the surge you feel at 6000 is because the ssv isn't opening. The surge is from the APV opening and suddenly allowing the engine to breath much better. Having a functioning SSV 'fills the gap' so to speak.

@Brettus

Already took off the whole intake manifold 3 days ago and cleaned everything... the filthy spots you see, came from all the tubes I had to take off to remove the SSV but the whole intake was pretty cleaned with brake cleaner, air filter was changed and all three solenoids were changed new too... how the SSV without the microswitch and without the plug could open and close?

Can I just make a mod and leave the SSV always open? I know where to mod and keep it always open if this allows the car to work better in all RPMs range as now it hesitates from +-4000 to 6000-6200 RPMs when then a boost starts to get felt...

Thanks

The microswitch was just there as a checking mechanism so the ecu knows if it was working or not.

You could but then power and economy below 4000rpm would suffer.

@Brettus

So your suggestion would be to buy a new SSV? I can try to clean it and mount to check if works but is such a pain to mount all back and then if doesn’t work to unmount again and replace it... suggest me please...

thanks!

I already made plenty of suggestions ........... firstly ...figure out if it's electrical or vacuum related (see my very first post in this thread). Once you know that you can zero in on the issue .

@Brettus

tomorrow I’ll take off the whole intake manifold and check again the three solenoids I have replaced, the tubes to the air pump, ssv and vdi and check if there is vacuum leak somewhere ... could you confirm me the three solenoids connection colors order from the top... should be Blue, white and then black... right?

blue = air pump
white = SSV
black = VDI

Right?

thanks!

Yes
I'd do some more investigation before doing all that. Like seeing if you get vacuum from the vac line when valve is triggered ...
Also ...check it is free mechanically and check the actuator doesn't leak ...

Just trying to get you to think things through. It's a process .... if you can't do that you really shouldn't be messing with it.
