RX-8 trouble starting after deflood when cold
So I have a 2005 rx-8 and it had been sitting since November since it was winter. we went to start it the other day and it didn't start. So we figured it was flooded so we deflooded it and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now whenever it is cold it starts like crap, idles weird and white smoke comes out of the exhaust like for 10-30 seconds then everything is good after it warms up and it runs fine. also when that happens the check engine light blinks so we hooked it us to a machine and it says its a misfire. This only happens when its cold. What is happening? nobody around here really knows what the heck to do with it.

It's possible that you have a blown coolant seal too. Change the ignition components first. If the problem continues, before you start the car in the morning, pull both lower spark plugs. See if one is wet with coolant.
the car has 130k and in the fall before we left it, the car ran great nothing was wrong with it but ever since we deflooded it, its been starting crazy when its cold outside or if it sits overnight. but if its a warm day or went to the store and came out it starts fine. Its only when its cold out side.
